May 30-31, 2024 Eugene, Oregon

 71 and sunny today.

The bus getting a new inverter installed. We are now done! Of course I said that last week, but I think we really are this time. I went on a short walk down the street and all of you that were worried about the pig walking down the road, he is still safely at home. There were actually 2 pigs before I took the photo. Odd that they just let them wander around the yard with an open gate.

We went on a walk with Scott and Leslie at Dorris Ranch this afternoon. It has rained enough that the grass is even taller, taller than us. Lots of wild flowers still.

Cow parsley, vetch and black snake root. John and Scott ahead on the trail.

A farewell selfie of Scott, John, Leslie and I. I used the pen that came with my phone as the shutter button. We are spending one last night here at Oregon Motor Coach. We were not sure they would have it done. We have a new spot for tonight.

Driving east of Eugene, there was a fire a few years ago. Burned some pretty scenery. We are now parked at Camp Yale, which is part of Belknap hot springs. Just one mile away. Nice and quiet and we get full use of the hot springs.

Belknap hot springs. Five star Roll-tel!

The McKenzie river next to the hot springs.

Scotch brome, coral bells, rhododendrons, and bleeding hearts. Belknap Hot springs from across the river.

Trail to the gardens at Belknap.

Secret Garden at Belknap hot springs.

Secret Garden.

Secret Garden. Rhododendrons reflected in the water.

Phlox, rhododendron, spring beauty, thimble berry blossoms, moss on a tree trunk, and forget me nots. A stream in the garden at Belknap hot springs.

Dinner at the campground.

May 24, - 29 2024 Eugene, Oregon

High of 72 and partly cloudy. Tiny amount of rain.

Full moon rising over Oregon Motor Coach last night. Too good to be true. We just thought we were done here and could get back on the road. We were still having a minor electrical problem, and after two hours of trouble shooting Jeff let us know that the inverter needs to be replaced. He ordered it and it should be in Tues or Weds. Boo.

I wrapped 4 more pieces of beveled, polished dichroic glass. I am trying to get the beveled polished pieces wrapped because when I get back to Colorado I will just make more! Once again photos don't do these justice, they change colors as they move around. Different light and angles on them. John prepared a wonderful dinner for Leslie, Scott and I to enjoy on the deck at the RV repair place.

76 and sunny. Cool looking clouds this am. Foxgloves and campanula in Scott and Leslies garden. Appetizers at Leslie's  Memorial day
BBQ.

Wonderful dinner with good friends. Music on the deck after dinner.

After dinner music. Sunset on the way back home.

High of 64 an cloudy today. Rain was predicted, but we didn't get any. This was our view most of the day. Tomorrow they are going to install the new inverter. Hopefully we will be done after that.  Sunset.

Rainbow in the sunset. Must be raining south of us. Sunset and rainbow.

Sign in front of a coffee shop. Fill up on Happiness. A Testla pickup. Pretty ugly. Roughing it sticker on the back of a huge motor home. And some flowers in the vacant lot next door. Sunsets last hurrah.

65 and partly sunny. I went for a walk down the street from Oregon Motor coach. Saw lots of wild flowers. Poppy, black berry, cow parsley, poppies, wild onion, camas, mallow, and some seed heads. I am walking on the busy airport road with warehouses, factories etc and I see an animal walking along the road. As I get closer I see it is a pig! What is a pig doing here?

Dandelions, cranes bill, bachelor button,  red Shirley poppy, wild cucumber, vetch, pink Shirley poppy, white bachelor button, The lot next door looks like it was once a garden. Bachelor buttons and Shirley poppies in tall grass. Very nice.

Sunset tonight. I am trying to identify grasses. Oats, foxtail, fescue - plain and with pollen, pink Shirley poppies, Yorkshire fog (yes it was really purple and white), and rye.

A little more of sunset tonight.
