June 14 - 19, 2025 Fort Collins, Colorado

 89 and mostly sunny.

A few cute gardening jokes from the nursery where I picked up some plants. Rain bow in the afternoon.

Sunset. Some kind of weird light.

We got a small table and umbrella for our new deck. Small cell with a tiny bit of rain falling from it from the bike path.

The school of rock students were rocking on the stage in Old Town Square. Looks to be around jr high to high school age. Cool that there is a school of rock for them. High of 67, cloudy and stormy. Supposed to be severe weather this afternoon with thunder storms, heavy rain, hail and high wind. I covered my new garden. It did rain hard with wind, and some small hail, but not severe. So begins the summer of rushing out and covering the garden!

The sun came out on the new deck. It rained during dinner time, so we ate inside. Cool looking clouds on the bike path tonight.

The previous picture clouds a bit later. Sunset on the railway bridge over the Poudre on my bike ride.

The water park with some kayakers on the wave.

Sunset. We leave the desert because it was so hot and look what we are getting this week in Fort Collins!

The service I was using to print my blog books went out of business. I found a new one, and here are the latest two. I have another one to make to catch up. I have 35 blog books from our 15 years on the road. Finally got to use the new umbrella.

Sold my sandblaster in one day on Craig's list! Woo hoo. The guy's  came prepared with a box truck with a lift. My studio has lots of room with out it. But tomorrow a newer, fancier sandblaster is being delivered. It will go at the end of those two shelves. The old one was back in the bright part of the studio, the new one is taller so needs to come forward. The whole area used to be John's workshop, he is now in the corner on the left. What a man, split his space with me for my studio.

June 11-13, 2025 Carbondale to Wolford Reservoir Park to Fort Collins, Colorado

 High of 82, mostly sunny.

We got a tour of John and Mandy's house they are building. It is has the best views and is a wonderful house. The view and view from the living room. To die for.

One of the bathroom vanities that Mandy built for the house. She does beautiful wood work. Two red tailed hawks on a nest on their property.

Dinner of left overs from last nights party at Martha and Jimjim's. Corydalis, pentstemon, and the cost of fuel in Carbondale.

I finished this basket today. It is made from dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass bead and the center is a piece of fused glass I combed. It is 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 2 inches.

We re now camped at Wolford reservoir park, Colorado. John bought us diner at Grand Adventure brewing in Kremmling, Colorado.

Views of the reservoir. The grass is really green.

The campground. Odd looking cloud in sunset.

Sunset.

Sunset under the shelter. Heading east toward home. Sure is green.

Rocky mountains. Cameron pass- almost home.

Taking a break at the top of Cameron pass. Home! John  had new stairs built while we were gone. With a deck at the top. They are beautiful!

New deck. So much space. Our routes the last 15 years. If you can see that close the lime green was this last year.

All the fields around Fort Bridger  have golden  banner and iris blooming. Golden Banner and wild iris. The iris are actually white, but the sunset light made them pink.

Tonight we are parked at Outlaw Trail RV park, just outside of Dinosaur National Monument. It was 91 degrees today. We stopped in Vernal to fuel up. Lots of dinosaurs around town. Fuel was $3.28 a gallon.

The office at Outlaw Trail RV park. This huge thunder head built up  to the east during the afternoon.
