April 21, 2012 Aspen, Co

We went up to Maroon Bells for a hike. We were going to hike from the lake down to East Maroon, but there was too much snow.

The willows are budding. This is the least leaves we have seen since leaving the plains of Eastern Montana and North Dakota, where there were no trees.

Head for the Hills band at Belly up, they are from Fort Collins and Kathy, Martha and Sue. I know Kathy from Denver,  I didn’t know Kathy and Martha knew each other.
