We are only 15 miles west of Fort Collins so we met with some friends to boat on the river.
I couldn’t figure out why the left leg of my dry suit was so hard to get on, until I tried to get into the left sleeve-it was on my leg! While I untangled my dry suit John started to blow up my inflatable kayak. He is saying-‘get over here woman and do your own boat!’

Mandy helping John try to fix some fitting for the BBQ. After boating we went back to Lea and Gary’s campsite and Lea had a huge spread of snacks out. We socialized and basically ate dinner here. Ken Duncan, Mandy is behind him, John Gross, Gary, Doug, Lea and John.

Across the street from their campground are remnants of the fire two years ago. It is soooo green now. I love how after a fire there are so many wild flowers.
After snacks Mandy pulled out her fishing pole and caught 4 fish. The one she caught on the left got away before she could navigate it through all the drift wood she was standing on , she released the others. Middle shot she is reeling one in and the third on she is saying ‘poor little fish’ before tossing him back. Both of these shots are of the same thistle flower, one from above and one from the side.
Right at sunset the sun broke though and kissed the mountain tops. The clouds were very dramatic.
A little bit of sunset color.
