July 4-12, 2018 Fort Collins, Colorado

I think I am done dying the pine needles for now. I have black, tangerine, navy blue, wind, teal, purple, aqua marine and scarlet. They will look good in the new baskets. The balloon part of the glass piece that shattered in the kiln survived and is in resin now, I can drill holes around it and make it into a basket. Meanwhile I have a new balloon piece in the kiln.

We went to Claire and Dave's, had dinner and then watched the fireworks from their back yard. Lots of fun. Mandy and John are almost matching tonight almost.I love the tie dye.

Stopped by my old house in Denver. The yard seems to have passed on. Here is a photo of when I lived there.

And the garden gate in the fence. Looks like they got a new roof after the hail storm last year. All 4 of the skylights are gone.  I spent the afternoon helping set up for the glass art show that opens tomorrow.

I had lunch today with  a group of retired Kaiser employees for lunch today. It was fun to see everyone and catch up. Bobbie, Me,Nancy, Pam, Kathy, Daryl and Peg. My pieces entered in the glass show. The opening reception was tonight. It was good to see my glass friends and all the beautiful glass.

The poster for the show and Deb doing a demo at the reception. Sunset tonight over Berkeley lake, which is in my old neighborhood.

Today I went to the service for my dear friend Barb. In one of my other lives I was married to her son, when we split up Barb and I decided to stay related and have kept in touch. It was a nice service and it was fun to catch up with people. This is Bill her son and his current wife Gina. The service was in their home.

Yet more basket centers I made. Should keep me busy. A lily that I planted in the yard years ago and barn swallow babies in the tunnel on the bike path.

Sunset tonight from the bike path. We met Mark, Karen and Martha for a drink at Coopersmith's tonight.

From Coopersmith's patio we could see the free concert on the square. We listened to The Holler, great band. Sunset over the Poudre River from the bike path tonight.
