February 17-18, 2021 Death Valley, California

70 and sunny, but windy with dust.

John made French Onion Soup Chicken last night. An onion concoction with gravy, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It was as good as it looks. Today we headed to Death Valley through Death Valley Junction.

A couple   views on the way in Death Valley.

A  views on the way in Death Valley. The bus at Sunset campground. Mostly a large gravel parking lot with restrooms. We like it here, it is usually not busy and we gat a spot away from the other rigs. We like the sun for our solar and it warms the bus it in the winter.

The view of the valley is obscured by blowing dust. The latest masterpiece in progress.

Sunset to the west through the dust and to the east on the mountains behind the campground.

The pool at Furnace Creek Ranch across from the campground. The golf course at the ranch.

The 'square' at the Furnace Creek Ranch.  Our friend Jeff from Fort Collins came to camp with us for a few days.

I rode my bike by the visitors center and saw this on the thermometer.  Jeff's new truck and camper.

This is Jeff  inside his new camper with the top popped up. We had happy hour with the beautiful view from the campground

.

We  had Bernie join  us for happy hour! Sunset over palm trees.

Sunset over the campground. Jeff dressed for the cold of the evening.

A few wild flowers are blooming. Desert gold, gravel ghost, crypantha, and bougainvillea at the ranch. A couple of cute mask signs.
