June 1, 2023 Cape Perpetua, Oregon

 60, sunny and windy.

We went to Cape Perpetua to watch the big waves. Thor's well has a cave under it. When the waves hit water shoots out the top, then it drains back out. Really cool to watch.

Wild cucumber, cow parsnip and waves. A huge wave is Cook's Chasm.

Blowhole in Cook's chasm.  Verbena, watch out for waves, hillside of pink, cinquefoils and clover, wild iris, monkey flowers, clover and salt encrusted sea weed.

Tide pools and big wave. Big wave crashing in a narrow chasm.

Cow parsnips. John's IPA at Yachats Brewing.

Mural in Yachats- Oregon is magic. We stopped at Bob creek on the way back to look in tide pools at low tide.

Cow parsnip and mustard, bracken ferns, anemones, crystalized salt, cinquefoils, strawberries. Small fall with cinquefoils.
