Happy valentines day!! I work up to roses, chocolates and a cute card. John had to wait till I shopped.

We hiked our days away at Red Rock. It was hard to tear ourselves away.

Ice Box canyon

the large photo is the 40 foot waterfall at the end. John is half way up. The rocks we had to scramble over were manageable. It is the shortest of the slot canyon hikes into the Spring Mtns.  The last three photos are me climbing, my reflection and sunset on Turtle head pack and the calico hills.

Oak Creek Canyon

Oak Creek was huge rocks we had to scramble over. There was no water in this one.

First Canyon

After the hike we drove south and found a Joshua tree forest, wild burros. Then we drove to Red Spring and saw a beautiful sunset.

Today we moved to the shore of Lake Mead. We are going to boat the Colorado river below Hoover Dam tomorrow. There are 4 hot springs there we want to soak in. Cynthia our friend from Tecopa is joining us.
