Blooming iris, beautiful place. Warm. I washed the bus windows. We met the neighbors. Pat a woman traveling by herself and Jack and Paula, from Florida. Had dinner with them at Gouldings lodge.

We woke up to rain, then snow. I walked around with the camera. When it rains or snows in the desert there are all these waterfalls. Gives you a whole new perspective on the desert . Found an arch behind the campground and waterfalls. John cooked cranberry, banana, pecan pancakes. We walked in the snow, took photos. Drove around looked at the valley, took more snow photos. We went up and saw the museum, photographed John with the Duke and some slide shows about the area and Navajos.

The sun came out and got some more nice shots. John went on the roof and shoveled the top wearing his chacos. I was sure he would slide off, but he was ok. John prepared a nice chicken pasta dish for dinner.
