The bus at Blue Stone Winery, wine barrels in the vineyards.
A corn maze next door to the winery. It is only open on weekends. Bummer it would have been fun to try it. Grapes, wine towels and a bottle of boos!
We headed into Harrisonburg to check out Brothers Brewery. John with his hoptimization IPA. We had dinner at the Cracked Pillar in Breakwater. The building started life as the Barbee Inn in 1870. Cool old building. We both had the Barbee breakfast, a burger on hashbrowns with an egg, cheese and bacon on top with fries.
Almost sunset. I woke up to this view of early light on the vineyards today.
Beautiful historic Bridgewater downtown. On our drive over the Appalachians we drove through Shenandoah and over Skyline drive.
At the pass over the mountains was this pyramid. It commemorates Knights of the Golden Horseshoe. That was given to the group who first saw over the mountains. John drove the bus into this tight spot at the car wash and then found that the change machine was empty, so had to take the car off and back out and continue to my brothers house He then washed the bus by hand.
John and my brother Ray having a cool one on the deck. The bus in front of Ray and Joan's house.
The ferocious Ting and Ray and Joan's lovely house.
The kids playing quietly with Jill my niece and Chris my nephew. We had a delicious dinner. The back of Jill, Chris, Art, Joan, Ray and Annie.
The masterpiece I am working on with an abalone shell. The back of the shell is kind of sandblasted from the desert and is shiney. So I want it to be visible, so I am inventing a bottom, it may turn out cool, it is too early to tell.
