June 4-7, 2019 Carbondale to Fort Collins, Colorado

We drove over to Vail to visit with John's sister Bridget and her family. We went out for pizza for lunch. John, Levi, Jack, Jennie, Dean Jr, Dean Sr and Bridget. Bridget and Dean are visiting from Chicago. Jennie and her family are from Denver. They are all staying in beautiful, huge condo at Vail that Michael-Jennie's husband got for free in the off season
through the management company he works for. for the week. It was fun to see them all. The view from the condos of Vail Village and Vail ski mountain. They are setting up for some Go-Pro games this weekend.

Some willow sculptures in Ford Park in Vail that we walked to. John is with Levi and Dean to the right of the waterfall.

Glenwood canyon on our drive back to Carbondale after the visit. Sunset in Carbondale tonight.

Still snow in the Rockies. We waited so long to come back because we did not want to drive over the passes with snow on them. It was still snowing last week.  Copper Mountain ski area looks like it still has enough snow to still be open.

Dillon Reservoir is pretty low. Probably because they are expecting a huge run off when the snow melts. We went over a giant pothole and 5 drawers opened up. We are hoping it did not bend a wheel.

Last fall there was a leak in the toilet supply line in our house and it flooded. A company came and cleaned up and packed up everything. We got new carpet and vinyl flooring and a new toilet and vanity/sink. Like a new house, but what a mess. We will not have to put the furniture back and unpack all the boxes.

Went biking today and it is GREEN on the bike path. John took me out to dinner for our anniversary. He got a table right on the square where they were having a free Mariachi concert tonight.

Our view of the band from our table, they even had dancers! A view of them up close.  Great dinner and evening.

Jeff dropped by this am to visit. Nice to see him. We are making headway with the boxes. Had dinner at Mandy and John's house tonight. Great to see them. Jay, Ken, John, John and Mandy. Yummy dinner.

Sunset tonight. My first kiln full of jewels today. Glass I picked up at the glass expo in Vegas this spring.
