May 18-19, 2023 Eugene, Oregon

81 degrees and sunny. We went kayaking on the Willamette River.

Leslie and Scott on the river.

Just relaxing and floating the Willamette river.

Leslie is in her happy place. One of two beaches we stopped at to sunbathe,  have lunch and relax.

A couple Canada Geese. We also saw a bald eagle and an osprey, but I was not quick enough with the camera to catch them. And some of the flowers that are blooming now. Second beach we stopped at. Great swimming  around the corner.

Nan and Belle. This was Belle's first trip on a kayak. She was not too sure about it, but  calmed down into it by the end of the day. Appetizers at Scott and Leslie's house.

We walked to dinner with the dogs at the public house.  A field of meadowfoam. It is grown for the seeds which have a high quality of oil used in cosmetics and high grade machine oil.

We are still having work done on the coach at Oregon Motor Coach. They just bought this lot next door that they are going to turn into more parking for coaches which they really need. They donated the structure to the fire department to burn for training purposes.  They are also going to cut down these beautiful trees. They failed to tell us till Friday morning that we cannot stay in the lot this weekend during the burn. The bus in the bay at Oregon Motor coach getting maintenance done.

John lucked out and got a weekend cancelation at Richardson Park. It is on a small reservoir about 15 minutes away from Oregon Motor Coach. We have to be back at Oregon Motor Coach early Monday morning, so this is perfect. The bus in our camp spot. Beautiful common area by the marina.

The lake and the marina. White flowers growing in the grass all over the park.

The office for the park. Wild rose, iris and blackberry blooms, rhododendron, Richardson park flag, close up of the white flowers in the lawn, and Fern Lake Reservoir, the campground is on Richardson peninsula on the top left.

Dinner at the picnic table at our campsite. Sunset.
