April 15-20, 2025 Topaz Lake, Nevada to Honey Lake, California

In the low 70's, partly cloudy.

It is the 14 years ago that we signed the tax forms as married and became common law married. John said 'With this form I thee wed'. We celebrated by having dinner at the Lake View cafe. It was taco Tuesday, and I love plain on hard shell tacos. John had chicken fired steak. I took this photo of the view from dinner and when I looked at the photo I thought there was a fleet of flying saucers, but it is the reflection of the lights in the restaurant.

What luck. We went to Carson City to resupply, go to a brewery, have lunch and soak in hot springs. 3 out of 4 in this spot. Shoe Tree brewery, Sassafras restaurant  and hot springs all right beside each other. Two of the 5 hot pools at Carson City hot springs. The back pool has a miners pick with water coming out of it.

5 minute limit under the hammer. I took about a second to decide the water was too hot for me. 108 degrees. John with the yoga frog in another pool.

A nice man in the pool offered to take out photo together. After the springs we had lunch and John had a Shoe Tree Brewery brew.

The eastern Sierra's on the way back. A huge storm was just south of us.  Cool clouds.

I wrapped these beauties. The 4 small ones are extra dichroic earrings recycled into pendants. Cool clouds from the storm east of us.

Sunset east, sunset west.

I made this basket with the glass beads I made at the glass expo. I wanted the keep the beads. The basket I keep my earrings in was almost overflowing, so going to use this one. Here it is in my bathroom with the basket that has my pendants in. It is made from dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass beads I made with a torch in a class. Making a lidded basket takes twice as long, it is like making two baskets. It is 5 1/2 by 4 inches.

Back in California again. We have been trav3ling along the border of California and Nevada. We are camped at Honey Lake Campground.

The mountains on the other side of  Honey lake reflected. Sunset.

75 and sunny. Beautiful day to relax outside. I wrapped these new glass pendants.

The moon is clear with 4 layers of dichro in it, you have to move it around to see the colors.
