This historic site is right next to the campground. And unfortunately it is closed today. There is a brewery on the other side of the campsite. It is open. John and this katydid both enjoyed beers and we had dinner.
The Rio Grande River at dusk. The bus at Red Rock Campground.
Wild flowers in the campground. Entrance to the rodeo arena. The campground is part of a larger complex with the event center , rodeo grounds, post office and a museum.
Mural on the outside of the event center and one in the museum. Kachina dolls and pots in the museum.
Mural in the museum and mural on the outside of the museum. Church rock in sort of sunset.
Fast trails with double decker containers zipping along by the highway. Lots of Indian Art stores leaving New Mexico. Welcome to Arizona. Arizona is on standard time all year, so we lost an hour crossing the border. Sunday the clocks change, Tues we are going into California, which is another time zone. What time is it??
The bus in Homolovi State park, outside Winslow , Arizona. 71 and sunny. Wild burros in Homolovi State Park outside Winslow, Arizona.
Wild burros in Homolovi State Park outside Winslow, Arizona. I finished this masterpiece on the drive today. It is made with dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass, blue magnetite and metal beads. The center is a piece of selenite that I sandblasted, then painted petroglyphs on. It is 11 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 inches. I love the colors in this one. Sunset from camp.
