The Sierra Nevada's with Mt Whitney on the right behind the Alabama hills as we left Lone Pine. I rode with Judy because there was this underwater diver driving the bus.
The view of Panamint Valley from Father Crowley viewpoint. Panamint valley is to the west of the actual Death Valley, but is still in the park. Judy and John hiking up Darwin canyon.
Further up the canyon. Something you don’t see too often in the desert, trees, water and water falls. John is photographing a small waterfall as Judy passes him.
Lower Darwin Falls is about 20 feet high. Very lovely and green. Upper Darwin falls is about 50 feet high, but a more difficult climb to get too. I hiked there when I was younger. This trip we decided not to, plus it was getting late. View going back out.
The moon coming up down the canyon on our way home. Another thing you don’t see too often in Death Valley-mushrooms!, a coyote melon, brittle bush flowers. The whole bush sits on the pipe that is the water supply to Panamint Springs resort where we are camped.
