Evening light on the spring cottonwood leaves and moon. The Poudre river is coming up, spring thaw in the mountains.
Sunset from our deck. I am working on a glass bowl of my house on Winona in Denver that I sold this spring. This is before firing.
After the first firing. The moon and sunset clouds.
The finished bowl with a photo of the house. It came our real cute. Two of the masks at the Mask exhibit at the Fort Collins Art museum. The exhibit was really good. The masks are made by local artists and auctioned off for charity.
Four more masks. You can see I liked the glass one. On Sunday I went to Denver. First I visitied with Cindy Ahrenkiel who was the realtor who sold my house and an old friend. She did an excellent job. The house sold in 3 days. She had 6 bids over asking price. Here she is with Mike and the house bowl, I gave it to her as a thank you for a job well done. Cindy served me a yummy lunch too.
Cindy gave me this beautiful print of a painting by Cheryl St John of my front yard and neighborhood on Winona. I will have to get it framed. I then went to the May meeting of the Glass Artist Fellowship at the Woodland Glass Arts Studio at Mike and Sandi Penfounds house. Deb Carlson gave an excellent presentation of when she was the artist in residence for a month in Taiwan. Then Mike and Sandi did a live demo of making stacked glass murinne. It was fascinating.
More shots of the live demo. I loved this second shot of everyone admiring the finished product.
The finished product.
