Still waiting on the bus. Now they have decided there is an electrical problem between the temperature gauge and the engine. Maybe tomorrow it will be ready. They keep saying maybe tomorrow.
The latest finished masterpieces.
I must have a lot of time on my hands. I got three TV trays at the thrift shop. The were green, gold and rusty. I sandblasted them, and repainted them. I cut the stencils on my silhouette stencil cutter for the designs which are painted on in hammered copper. The last photo shows the stencil on my computer and in front is the stencil from the cutter. We can eat out on our deck in style now.
The sun has been out the last couple days. It is wonderful after over a month of rain. Lots of blue sky and sun. We celebrated the beginning of our anniversary season by going to the Chocolate Cafe on Martini Monday and had half price chocolate martini’s and ultimate chocolate cake. Yum, yum!
Lots of wild severe weather here, some of the wild clouds with the storms at sunset.
Woo Hoo!! We got the bus back. They fixed the temperature gauge problem. Cummins did $5000 worth of work free since they did not get it right the first time. It was worth the 2 week additional wait for that kind of deal. Cummins does good work, we have had to have them redo a lot of the work we have had done at other repair places on the road. Here is the bus being weighted at the feed store so we can get the new license plates. On June 6 we celebrated our actual anniversary at Austin’s steak house. John gave me those pearls when he was courting me.
We are packing our belongings back into the new bus. Seems like there is a lot of room. We are not bringing any where near as much stuff as we had in the first bus. John is building a sliding tray for the pass through storage bay. The old one had nice metal ones in both storage bays, this one only had it in one. We will drive the bus to Oregon to Oregon Motor coach soon to have some more work done on the inside of the bus. The original company Country Coach went belly up right after we bought the first bus. Many of the employees went to Oregon Motor coach then. It makes a huge difference having people who are familiar with the coach work on it. We did not have to have anything they did redone either.
