January 25-26, 2019 Shoshone, California

The day after the fire. All is ok and there were no injuries. This photo is NOT our bus. Thank heavens.

A few photos my friend Alison took. Every RVers's nightmare.

The wreckage and Tanya from the Southern Inyo Fire Protection district the next morning putting out some smoldering trees this morning.

The footprint of the fire was surprisingly small. It is a miracle. The fire departments and all involved did a great job. This was the site of the worst of the fire. It could so easily spread and burned the whole town.

The Tecopa Hiking Crew came over there today and we did a hike through the white clay formations. A view of Shoshone from the high point of the hike.

Looking at cool formations in a box canyon. Coots and ducks on the lake in Shoshone, an arch on our hike and eyes from the hills watching us.

Some of the cool overhanging cliffs.

Thursday we went to Las Vegas and shopped. We went through Pahrump and in the back way through Red Rock Canyon. The masterpiece is coming along. Looking good so far.
Another lovely sunset. Nice end to a warm 65 degree and sunny day.
