September 17-22, 2019 Fallon, Nevada to Palo Alto, California

We had a sand storm later yesterday. The mountains disappeared. We were in the middle of nowhere by ourselves. Kind of like being in a snow globe. Today we drove through Austin, Nevada. What happens in Austin. . .  You brag about. So much to do.

Then we came to Fallon, Nevada, Tho Oasis in the Desert. A cool house in Fallon. We are now camped at the Fallon Fairgrounds. Nice spot with trees.

We drove to Reno today. We are going to leave the bus here and drive the car to Palo Alto, Ca. Here we are parked at the Bonanza Terrace RV park. It is a nice park for an in the city commercial park. The bus will be plugged in so it can run the heat and the bus won't freeze. Also the fridge so our freezer won't thaw. John took me out to dinner to the Depot Brewing and Distillery in downtown Reno. The food and the beer were good. Here is John drinking his Voyager IPA.

I made this little 2 inch basket yesterday and put the beads on it today. It came out cute. These are two views of it. Thank you for visiting Nevada and Welcome to California.

We are staying tonight at my sister Judy's house. My siblings Judy, Jerry, Sue and Ray.  John was taking photos and said do something, so Ray started to strangle me.

John cooked a great fajita dinner tonight. Jerry, Bev, Jill, Judy and Ray. John in the dining room/living room of the air b and b condo we are staying in. It is a spacious 2 bedroom.

The pool at the condo we are staying in. Tonight I cooked a scrumptious casserole and corn on the cob for dinner. John, Judy and my cousins Morgan, Justin and Jerry also joined us.

Morgan and Tammy cooking us all breakfast. I have been working on this basket. It has a cast dichroic glass bear I made in the center. 4 bear beads and needles I dyed orange and yellow. The pink wrapped row is really read.
We are all  here for the Celebration of life for my brother-in-law Laurie. His inspiration and humor will be missed. Morgan, Justin and Tammy dressed for the Celebration.

My brother Jerry speaking at the Celebration. It was a lovely event with a great slideshow of photos of Laurie's life. Many of his award winning photos were displayed. Lots and lots of food. It was nice to visit with everyone there. Sunset last night.
Afterwards we had a BBQ at Judy's house with all the family. John flipped the burgers for all of us.
