January 21, 2021 Mittry Lake, outside of Yuma, Arizona

 69 degrees and sunny.

The palo verde tree in our campsite. It had drops of left over rain from last night in it that sparkled in the sunlight. View from the pass outside of Yuma we drove over on our way to Mittry lake.

Puddles of last nights rain on the roads. I think this is a field small broccoli.

Mittry Lake Wildlife area is a globally important bird area. We are camped where the red arrow is. The first thing I did was put my boat on the lake. It was very calm and beautiful

I paddled by this hawk perched on a tree by the lake. Beautiful smooth water and my boat.

Cattails. Near camp there are 11 jetty's for fishing etc. These palm trees are on a couple.

The red arrow shows where the bus is. The campground is just across the street from the lake. I finished this bright basket this morning. 6 1/2 x 3 inches. It is made with a spiral piece of glass  center I made, dyed pine needles, square green and tiny goldstone beads and polyester thread.

The newest masterpiece in progress. The center is a stone cabochon my friend gave me shown with light through on the bottom. It is 7 inches long already.  A plague ( what a group of grackles are called) of grackles roosting in a tree by the lake.

The bus in our campsite right before dinner. Behind it  and across the street is the lake. Sunset  over the lake from our campsite.
