January 6-8, 2021 Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

75 and sunny, a lawn chair in the sun kind of day.

I think it is a good sign that there was a $ sign in the sky above me today. Military jets must have been doing maneuvers today.

Two ocotillos and a saguaro in the sunset. Desert flora and sunset.

Yet more desert flora and sunset tonight.

74 and sunny. We walked 7 miles from the campground back into Senita basin half of the trail one we had not been on before here. Part trail, part road and part wash. A deep dark forest of saguaro along the trail.

John on the trail. A bit of sunset.
The end of sunset was very vibrant.

The port of entry in Lukeville to Mexico. Huge construction yard in Lukeville full of trucks, heavy equipment, cement trucks for the wall construction.

The end of something,  Gringo Pass Motel and RV park and Gringo Pass, Arizon post office in Lukeville. On the way back, Welcome to Arizona and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. John strolling along the new wall, you can see it going up a hill in the distance.

A view through the wall of Mexico. Kids playing and people's house and  a very busy street. Historic Gachado Line Camp. Part of an old ranch along the border.

Part of the old corral at Gachado Line camp. And looking back through the old  corral at the historic Gachado Line camp with the wall in the background.

Another warm evening for dinner outside. Sunset looking east from the campground.
Sunset looking west from the campground.
