March 11-13, 2024 Shoshone, California

 High of 71 and sunny.

I had a basket class for Sandra today. Here she is with her basket. We had lots of fun. Sunset tonight.

Shoshone with desert gold in the foreground. Evening primrose.

Field of desert gold.

Sunset to the east. Sunset to the north. A small puff.

I started this basket as an example in the class I was teaching. It came out real cute. It is made from natural and dyed pine needles, glass beads, polyester thread and a turtle I got on a necklace at the flea market. The center is a white shell. It is 5 by 2  inches. This basket is made from natural and dyed pine needles, native grass, polyester thread, glass beads and the center is a piece of fused glass I made. It is 10 1/4 x 3 inches.

It is getting very green around here. Phacelia.

Brittle bush. More brittle bush in a cool looking canyon.

Big phacelia. Mohavea, crypantha, phacelia, desert gold and deep blue sky, eriogonum inflatum- each flower is only about 1/8 of an inch.

Desert gold.
