August 11,2011 South Of Glacier

Back to Kalispell to shop then we drove south of Glacier. The bus is too long to go over the Going to the Sun road, you have to drive around the park. We stayed two nights at a commercial park, then found a campground in the Bob Marshall wilderness and stayed there two more nights.

This is from a hike in the Bob.

Notice John at least waist deep in the berry bushes. Prime Grizzly habitat. We had to sing and make noise the whole time so as not to surprise a bear. We picked another  quart of huckleberries on the way back. Devil creek water, we swam in it at lunch during our hike,

for dinner we had Little Penguin wine, with the penguin in the background, me sunbathing and reading by the creek the next day

Suep in bear country. There was a bear in camp that night, but we did not see it.
