We hiked up toward Four mile falls. About 4 miles each way and about 1,500 vertical-both ways.
John starting up the trail. Lush, green, lots of wild flowers. We were surrounded by high peaks.
Aspens and thimble berries along the trail. This falls is not Four Mile, but close enough for us. We were beat. This falls down the rock face, then does a free fall to the bottom portion.
You can see the free fall here, then it hits this ledge and explodes down over a hanging garden.
John eating lunch in a field of flowers at the bottom of the falls. I loved this one monkey flower under the falls.
We were too tired to go to the second falls, and of course we found out later, it turns out to be just around the corner. Back through all the green and flowers.
John waiting patiently while I take way too many photos. John at the end of a meadow. I stopped and took some photos, turned back around and a huge deer was following John down the trail, of course I did not get a photo.
Aspens and flowers. We hiked at the end of this valley by the peaks, I took this photo on the way out.
The Last Dance Ranch is for sale. 85 lush acres, 7,000 plus square foot house and a few barns and guest houses. Didn’t mention the price. Beautiful place. We stopped, of course at a brewery on the way back to quench John’s thirst.
And watched the super moon rise over the healing waters at the hot spring. Lots and lots of flowers. White flowers, seed head, hawk weed.
