It was cloudy and misty. Beautiful historic downtown Bainbridge, Georgia. We passed through Peach County of which the main products are peaches, pecans, poultry and peanuts. In Musella we saw a cotton gin, azaleas in Pat and Brandi's yard. Field of mustard and pecans, peach orchard. We saw truckloads of live chickens going by, but no peanuts.
We are now parked in front of Patrick (John 's brother) and Brandi's beautiful log house in Newnan, Georgia. We accidentally trimmed a tree coming into the driveway.
Dogwood blooming before the trees leaf out. Brandi and Pat Moran, John's brother and wife are hosting us in their front yard for a few days. It is fun to see them.
Brandi and John as we were out hiking and walking the dogs today in their wooded neighborhood. John and I spent the rest of the day going to Costco. First the GPS took us to the Costco distribution center, then to the Costco business center where you can only buy things by the case or pallet load, finally to a normal Costco. The GPS took us 70 miles round trip for a scenic drive around Atlanta.
The latest masterpieces in progress. The first one I got tired of working on, so it is in standby, the second one I am trying to learn a new stitch called the tie stitch. I think I am getting the hang of it. Flowers I saw today. Pink and white azaleas, cinquefoil, a field of violets and a single violet.
John and Pat cooking dinner. They felt they needed an action shot, so the second shot.
John made us a wonderful, steak, baked sweet potatoes and roasted zucchini. Yum, yum. Thanks darling. I finished this basket today. I learned the tie stitch. The center is a piece of dichro I made, blue green/ gold dots and opaline on top with glass beads. It is 6 X 1.5 inches.
