Up before sunrise to go hiking. John and Pat on the Pine Mountain trail in rhododendrons.
John climbing a staircase of roots. John and I in front of Csonka falls.
Water and greenery. John and Pat in a rhododendron tunnel.
The trail was nicely maintained with new bridges. Pat and John on the far one. Slippery rock falls.
John crossing the creek and with twisty rhododendrons. John and Pat having lunch at Cascade Falls while Mae looks hungrily at them.
John and Sue at Cascade falls. Hugging my honey. John and Pat on the trail back.
Wisteria were hanging from the trees, a budding bush and azaleas. Sessile bellwort, a mossy rock with tree roots wrapped around it, Ferney, the big loblolly pine- it is between 3-4 feet in diameter, and blue dogbane.
Violet wood sorrel, and two pictures of bird's foot violet-they are 1 1/2 inches. Two wild iris and a field of wild iris, dogwood like a floating cloud and sweet shrub.
Potato dandelion, fire pink, acres and acres of small long leaf pines, they have the longest needles, these are from my hand to my elbow long. A penguin on top of a water tower that says visit my 10,000 pals at the Georgia Aquarium, Brandi getting the sales talk on CBD a marijuana derivative and the skyline of down town Atlanta.
Pat and Brandi took us to the Vortex- serving beers and burgers since 1992, the best burgers in town. It is an idiot free zone, be nice or get lost. Great ambiance and food. Pat and Brandi inside. Little Five Points in Atlanta is a funky fun place. We also went to the Yacht club, another of their favorite hangouts and got a tour of the beautiful old homes downtown.
