May 16-19, 2021 Eugene, Oregon

Another pleasant 81 and sunny day. I guess this is unusual weather for this time of year, usually it is cold and rainy. We have not been complaining.

Progress on the basket. It is now 5 x 5 1/2 x 1 1/2. We spent most of the day sitting at Les Schwab buying 4 new rear tires. We now have safe tires.

The basket is now done. Came out cute. I like the stitch. It is 5 x 5 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. It is made of natural and dyed pine needles. The center is a piece of dichroic glass I fused. We went up to Shotgun Creek to hike the ridge, but could not find the trailhead in the maze of logging roads, so went for a nice tour of the logging lands.

Lots of nice wildflowers. Scotch broom was blooming profusely. A bush and close up of the flowers. Milkvetch ,and blackberry blooms. It is so beautifully green in Oregon.

Instead we went for a walk along the Willamette river. John, Leslie and Rhody on the trail. We watched as a woman in this boat caught a 2 lb fish.

Ox eye daisies, wild fox glove, white flowers and forget me nots. John, Leslie and Scott on the beach.

Afterwards Leslie cooked us a yummy dinner. Anne Marie, John, Leslie ,Scott and Larry having happy hours outside. Sunset last night.

Hanging out in the waiting room at Oregon Moto coach while they work on the bus I beaded around the center on the new masterpiece. Our bus is the second from the left.

By afternoon I got this far on the basket. It is 6 x 2 inches so far. It rained today!! We haven't seen rain in months. It was wonderful.

The bus came back tonight with the dash open. There is a short in there somewhere. Good luck finding it. It also has new batteries, new tires, new water pump, a working hot water heater, a toilet that flushes properly, new dump valves and more things that my non automotive mind can't grasp.
