Sept 23 fall equinox

Fall equinox today. Also the full moon. It has warmed up here and in the 70's and sunny. Spent most of the day relaxing. Sat in my lawn chair, read and sunbathed. we ran into town to get groceries and checked out a brew pub John likes.

Weds we hiked in a city park called Lithia park. Ashland creek runs thru it, trails, gardens, ponds and just the lush Oregon landscape along the creek. apparently there is a spring near by that has the highest concentration of lithium in the world. That is where the name lithia comes from. We thought about going to the resort with the pools, they have some RV spots with hookups. I looked them up on the Internet and they are having a weekend event, called the Red Tent Weekend, a celebration of menstruation and John refused to go until the event was over.

Ashland has a 6 month Shakespeare festival going. We saw Henry IV on Tues and The Merchant of Venice weds night. Pretty serious. We had the cheap seats and had a hard time hearing it all. They only have one Shakespeare comedy, the Twelfth Night, we are going Sunday. I like his comedy's the best.

To the left is Ashland Creek on Lithia Park, Rt is John with his subjects. below is a mama deer and two fawns, and last is the harvest moon tonight.
