We went over to Anastasia island to see the light house ,Fort Matanzas and the beach.

the walls are made of Cocina. It means little shells in Spanish. The Castillo de san Marcos and many of the older buildings are made out of it. It is great for the forts, it is just soft enough to absorb the cannon ball, but not break apart. The living quarters at Fort Matanzas.
