April 16-17, 2021 Shoshone, California

High of 80 and sunny. Light breeze.

We hiked up to Petroglyph canyon today. It was my third trip. John's first. There were a few flowers, paintbrush, cool leaves plant, rattlesnake weed ad some nice backlit grass.

Cool rock formations.

Judy and John hiking down a dry fall. John sitting on couch rock.

Judy and Judy hiking out the mouth of the canyon. Some sheep petroglyphs.

Clouds and shadows in Green Water Valley. We had dinner at Steak and Beer tonight.

Today was my 4th basket class at the pupfish pond. The day started cloudy, cold and very windy. I was worried no one would show up.  But it cleared and warmed up to 80 for us by class time. The pupfish pond was pretty sheltered from the wind. We all had fun.

Happy students with their baskets. Molly, Jim, Rose, John, Anna, and Heather. Not pictured are Shelly, Diana and Judy D who assisted with the class. Me with my baskets.

More happy students with their baskets, Mac, Judy and Judy. We had dinner at the Bunkhouse with the gang again. Rod blowing out his birthday candles.

John with the mammoth t shirt the was awarded from the museum for saving the mammoth exhibit. The kitchen at the Bunkhouse with Mac, Judy and Judy.

The living room of the Bunkhouse with Rod waving. Sunset from the porch of the Bunkhouse.

We almost ran over this 4 foot snake. When we jumped out to make sure it was not dead it was coiled up like a rattler. It was not a rattler just a harmless rat snake.
