October 13-14 , 2022 Ridgway Lake Park, Ridgway, Colorado

 68 and sunny,

The grain silo in Fruita has this dinosaur on it. The other side has a mountain biker. Fruita is know for both. We headed to Ridgway. This is beautiful downtown Delta on the way.

We got this lovely view of the San Juan Mountains and fall color on our drive up the valley. A hay shed along the highway with colorful cottonwoods and the San Juan Mountains ahead.

The view from the bus at our  campsite.  Our campsite at Ridgway Lake state park. We are at 6,900 feet so it is cooler.

Too bad I don't have room for more pine needles on the bus. These are fresh fallen, blown by the wind across the patio into many nice piles like this.  Jeff came and camped across the street from us tonight. He took this selfie of us. John, Jeff and Sue. Had another nice visit with him.

John and Jeff enjoying appetizers and the view, dressed for the cool evening. You can see his rig parked across the street. Sunset colors on the San Juan mountains from our site.

Sunset with pink clouds. The end of the reservoir we are camped on.

View heading up Owl Creek Road. View of Mt Sneffles.

There was a band of red orange scrub oaks before the aspens. View farther up Owl Creek Road.

Aspens along the road.

Aspens and view. Nice creek.

Rugged peak. Looking west from Silver Jack lake.

We had lunch at the picnic ground at Silver Jack Lake.

View at the end of Silver Jack Lake. On the way home we stopped at Colorado Boy Brewery in ridgeway  to have dinner. John with his IPA.
