High 50's, sunny and windy. It is really cold with the wind and the humidity.

We  hiked along the Valley Trail to Hobbit Trail to Hobbit Beach. Arrow on  the right is the campground and on the left is the Hobbit Trail. We hiked along the beach on the way back. 4.5 miles. Beautiful hike. There were tons of rhododendrons along the trail.

John, Leslie, Scott and Rhody at this metal tree. The top was a windmill like thing painted with leaves, that looked like it should spin, but it didn't. John, Scott and Leslie in the oak savannah.

Rhody on the trail.  Monkey flower, berries, octopus tree, scotch brome, cat's ear lily and white flower.

Field of daisies. Rhody swimming in the coastal fork of the Willamette River with Leslie, John and Scott keeping an eye on him.

And by the end about 5 dogs for fun.  Scott BBQed tuna and chicken and we had three salads and three deserts. Very  yummy and good to see every one.

May 25-26, 2023 Eugene, Oregon

 81 and sunny.

We escaped Oregon Motor Coach and went for a walk at Doris Ranch. The trail lined with delphiniums. A coyote trotting through the grass. Some people came by and laughingly told us that we needed to put our dog on a leash.

Blue dick, rose mallow, wild rose, coyote face, and wild iris. Poppies, blue flowers and a couple of fun license plates on RV's here.

The trail was lined with these small white flowers. Robin, white flowers and wild cucumber.

John cutting through the woods in a tree tunnel. Trail lined with tiny white flowers.

We found out today that this part of the parking lot is referred to as the campground. It has electrical hookups. We are second from the right. The other areas are the fence and the gravel lot- they don't have hook ups. There is a good chance that we will be finished tomorrow. We have been here 3 weeks. The last thing to be done is to have the carpet on the ceiling cleaned tomorrow. It has 21 years of grease on it above the stove. John would not let me clean it, he thought the carpet might come off the ceiling. He wanted a real RV carpet cleaner to do it. A couple more dichroic glass pendants that I wire wrapped.

John made this delicious stir fried shrimp for dinner. He ran out of soy sauce, so it is half hoisin sauce, which added some sweetness. Yum yum. Sunset over the blackberries on the fence.

81 and sunny. We waited for the carpet cleaner to come and clean our ceiling in the comfort of our bus instead of the waiting room. He was late, came at 2pm. But did a great job. Titus cleaning the carpet on the ceiling in the bus. Before and after the carpet cleaning over the stove. The before does not even show how gross the grease soaked carpet was. It looks beautiful now.

John was reviewing the bill and realized that they installed a different light than the one he wanted. So Glen got it installed. We then left the parking lot we have been staying in for the last three weeks. They did a really good job on the bus, so it was worth it. We are now at a lovely RV park called Deerwood just east of Eugene, with trees, grass and shade for the Memorial day weekend. John was lucky to get a place with such late notice before the holiday weekend.
