We drove to Washburn Wisconsin and parked right on Lake Superior in a Washburn city park. Looks a lot like Minnesota to me. It was cold, rainy, foggy and humid here too.

We drove around the peninsula to Bayfield and Cornucopia. Marina at Bayfield

he light house on Raspberry island. People take sea kayaks out and explore the caves in the summer. It is too cold now, and these caves are 20 miles from the mainland. You need to paddle a multiday trip and camp on the other islands on the way. The weather here is really unpredictable and when the wind comes up the waves get huge and it is not safe on the water then.
John heard that a local favorite is whitefish livers, so we had to go out and get some in a local restaurant. he woods are really thick here, and here is another red maple.
The brownstone in the houses on the east coast is quarried here on the islands, like this building and sunset. The sun came out for part of the day today. It was beautiful. I went biking around town.

Tomorrow we are heading more south for the worlds largest corkscrew and penny and more.
