We went on a nice hike in Gulf Shores state park. I only went 1.5 miles and went  home to rest. John hiked 8 miles. Pretty day. Above is part of the burn with a great blue heron. Next to that is a sign from the campground! Alligators in the campground. I will be sure not to aggravate them.

I rested by doing laundry. Very windy so I tied the laundry to the bus. I had it tied between the bus and a tree but I was afraid it would blow into the swamp and I would have to fight alligators for it. I went with John to the grocery store and saw these squid rings. Yes we are by the ocean. John does all the grocery shopping. He takes a list and only buys that.  When I go it takes much longer and costs a lot more.

sunset in the campground. Off to Florida, it is only a few miles from here. We went to the Pensacola Naval Aviation museum. a huge, huge museum. One of the best air craft museums I have seen yet. they also had huge models of aircraft carriers, air ships-blimps, space craft and exhibits with scenarios of deployment in Hawaii, etc., flight simulators.

Here is a Jenny biplane. this side has the cloth off the wing. Pretty cool wooden framework. Most of the planes had another engine next to them with it cut away so you could see it.

Many of the planes also had an extra cockpit next to the plane that you could get into. John with the bombs

Pensacola light house. Still in use. 191 feet high. A painted pelican. We saw a couple of them, must be like the painted horses or cow fundraisers we have seen in other towns.

We took a walk on Perdito Key beach. Millions of  Huge shells. The nice gentleman who took our photo had his shadow on us.
