We are both feeling better. John a lot better. He has been going on long bike rides most days. There are lots of cool trails here in the state park. I have been using solar therapy trying to get well on the lawn chair. It was supposed to be a rainy day so we drove back to Mobil to see the USS Alabama , a WWII battle ship and the USS Drum, a WWII submarine.
John with the screw from the USS Alabama, ship in the background. 16 inch guns on deck. The ship carried a crew of 2500 people.
some gauges in the engine room, and the lab in the sick bay
The USS Drum-named after the fish, John in the control room of the Drum. The drum carried a crew of 72 people. Packed in considerably closer than on the Alabama.
The galley on the Drum, it is bigger than the one on the bus!, a view of some of the aircraft they had on display too.
A grackle on top of the car, a B-52 bomber in the background-Calamity Jane, John cleaning the roof of the bus.
Washing the back of the bus. I watched from the comfort of my lawn chair. I am beginning to get my tan back. The basket so far with the shells pieces I found on the beach on Perdito Key. The cardboard pattern is in it so you can see approximately how it will be shaped.
Sunset on the way home from Mobile. Photos are a little out of order.
It is a little humid, look how curly my hair is!!
