Still at the beach. John’s cough is getting better, mine is not getting worse, but not better yet, I am still resting in bed most of the day. Or the lawn chair. Boo.
The beach is beautiful. John on the boardwalk. The beach police drive on the beach, ruin the sand for photos.
Sue and John sunbathing, sea shells
beach!!, Sue in the waves. It is in the 70’s, but I seem to be the only one in the water.
John on the beach. Pelicans
The beach from the 1850 foot fishing pier. The lake behind the beach is where the campground is. John looking at fish below the pier.
I have never even heard of most of the fish here. A jelly fish from the pier. We at first thought it was a plastic grocery bag, but it is a big jelly. We saw 3 or 4 go by. We also saw a sting ray on the bottom.
the pelicans can’t read the don’t sit on the rails sign. They look so odd front on.
Sea gulls, sanderlings and a great blue heron, John enjoying the sun
sunset, full moon rise
full moon rise over the beach pavilion and a hotel under construction. Hurricane Ivan and a few others did a lot of damage here. All of the hotels on the beach look new and the houses are on stilts. Last gasp of the sunset
Was kind of windy, John decided to paddle around the lake. I joined him in my sickened state. It was really pretty
views of the lake from the boat
John, and view of the marsh grass
John is in the center of this photo, here he is closer up
The campground from the lake. I must be pretty sick. This paddling wore me out. I went to bed when we got back. Actually collapsed in the car, John loaded the boats and gear.
