It rained, fogged and the sun shined off and on all day.
Spouting horn at Cooks Chasm spouted when the waves hit in the cave under it at high tide. The really cool thing about spouting horn was these huge waves of the foam came down the channel.
Wild foam. John of course stood right in the heart of it all, I thought he was going to wash away.
Farther down the beach were more narrow channels that the waves and foam went wild in. Rainbows as the waves dropped.
I got to close to this one, it drenched me. More fascinating foam.
We hiked the mile trail over the devil’s churn , it was also churning up foam.
Our next stop was Hecta Head light house.
We had to hike the Hobbit trail to Hobbit beach. Can’t pass up a place with a name like that.
Hobbit on Hobbit beach? The light was cool on the hike back out on Hobbit Trail.
We stopped at another beach for sunset.
Gulls in the sunset. This big gull was trying to steal John’s sandwich from him at lunch. An evening primrose.
