We drove 19 miles down the coast from Newport to Beachside State Park.
It is a rainy and foggy day. I saw this beach bunny in the campground.
Some sort of tide pools, with no visible life in them. The bus on Halloween. No tricker treaters stopped by, of course it was foggy, rainy and we are in the middle of no where.
Today was sunny and beautiful. The bus at Beachside state park. We drove down the road to Cape Perpetua. This is Devil’s churn. It has HUGE waves that go into this slot and bounce around, get bigger, it is fascinating to watch.
Devil’s churn. John in one of the many tide pools here.
HUGE waves. We hiked around to more tide pools. This is salal and sitka spruce trees.
One of many small creeks entering the ocean on the trail. This is Thor’s well behind a tide pool, waves come up in this hole and shoot out. There is a formation called spouting horn farther down the beach, but it only spouts at high tide and we were there going on low tide.
Really cool clouds and orange cliffs. Tide pools with reflected sky , greenery and ocean.
Ocean waves, sunset starting.
A great blue heron in sunset, fog rolling in on the sunset.
A sea urchin, sea palms, pink flowers and anemones.
It is supposed to be foggy and rainy all weekend. There is hardly anyone in the campground. It will close on Monday.
