April 17-18, 2019 Bullhead City to Cattail Cove, Lake Havasu, Arizona

82 and sunny, bit windy. Was very nice, maybe I am getting used to hot weather.

I don't' think I qualified to handle these ceramic pot bastkets bases. It rolled of the couch and broke last night. I think the holes along the top to stitch to weaken the pot. Cholla and ocotillo blooms.

Sunset over the Colorado River. The moon rising to the east.

Today we drove to Cattail Cove on Lake Havasu. We drove into California then back into Arizona, crossed over route 66 and darn, we missed the UFO museum at Area 66. Our last trip to Lake Havasu we kayaked this section of the Colorado River from Topock to Lake Havasu down Topock Canyon. The put in was near here. Very pretty. And very long, 17 miles.

The bus at the campground at Cattail Cove State Park. Lots of trees and flowers. And mid 90's. Good thing there is water here and a plug in for the AC. John going into the water at the beach to cool off.

Looking back toward the campground from the swimming area. A huge motorcycle trailer popup camper.

I finished the wrap row on the basket and sewed on more beads.  Back to the beach for a dip.

This young woman was jumping with joy for the camera on the beach. A sundog in the sky and reflected in the water.

Another shot of the bus in the campground. Blooming oleanders on the left and a blooming palo verde tree on the right.  John sitting outside after dinner. I rigged up a hose with a mister on the ladder to spray over the table to cool it down. Mid 90's.

Sunset over Lake Havasu and full moon rise to the east.
