April 20-21, 2019 Cattail Cove State Park, Arizona

Only 94 degrees today, mostly sunny with some wind.

The moon last night behind the clouds. We went kayaking today on the lake. We left a busy beach.

John heading out by huge boats and jet ski's. John paddling by the cliffs. The wind and all the boats made the water a bit choppy, but it was a beautiful day on the water.

John with red cliffs. We went into this little side canyon.

Lots of blue eyed darners. The water is so clear John looks suspended int he air in his boat.

John heading back into the beach. The beach was busy.

I finished another dress. It is old fashioned Hawaiian print with women in old time bathing suits. I found the fabric at a thrift store for $2 when I was looking for my costume for the fruit cake festival and couldn't pass it up.  John cooking pizza in the BBQ. I baked the crust in the morning when it was cool, then assembled it tonight and John cooked it in the BBQ because it was too hot to heat up the oven. It came out yummy.

Last light across the lake in California. This part of sunset was so high above the horizon it is not in it.

Sunset over camp. John is a happy boy after eating pizza.

The last of sunset and a shot from above camp on our evening stroll.

The beach was deserted today. We had lunch here. I found this great sparkly hat floating by when we were kayaking on the lake yesterday. John hates it, but I have always wanted a sparkly baseball hat, and here it is.

Cool looking tree on the beach today. I sat in my chair and worked on the basket on the beach, it is closer to being done.
This palo verde tree  with the petals spread all around it in the campground is magnificent.
