March 31-April 3, 2019 Death Valley, California to Las Vegas, Nevada

80's and sunny. Another great hike in Death Valley.

Looking across the valley at snow on mountains two valleys away. The group is hiking in the upper left corner.  Lots of rock scrambling.

Henry,Liz, Donna, Suep,Judy D, John and Susan. Faye took the photo. Looking across the valley at a wash that looks like a glacial path. Snow in the far distance.

Henry heading back to the cars. Sunset tonight.

Yellow flower, Fremont phacelia, yellow flowers. A few of the many petroglyphs we saw on the trail.

White Gila, Fremont phacelia and yellow flowers, crypanthia, Indian paint brush. Mallow, blue dick, metatae and grinding stone, hedge hog cactus.

I have been busily working on my basket. It has a pottery base and lots of beads. I am trying to decide whether or not I like the big red ones or the small silver ones or both. Sunset tonight.

I am out taking a photo of sunset and what do I see, two women walking their chair in the wind. I usually see people walking their dogs. . .Celia and Tanya- our next door neighbor were bringing a chair to her house. A mushroom cloud seen on the way to Las Vegas.

We drove through Red Rock Canyon on the way to Vegas. The joshua trees are blooming. It was in the 70's and sunny. A beautiful day.

A close up of a joshua tree bloom. A view of the Calico hills in Red Rock canyon with a blooming joshua tree in the foreground.
We are staying at the South Point Casino for the Glass Expo. It is a cool casino because there is also an inside rodeo arena for shows and a huge bowling alley for bowling tournaments. There are lots of bowlers walking around with these huge bowling ball bags full of 3-6 bowling balls. This is a shot in one of the bowling shops and one of the alleys.
