April 19, 2019 Cattail Cove State Park, Arizona

It was predicted to be 100 degrees today!!

I got up at 730- way early for me and we went for a nice 4.2 mile hike on some of the trails here in the park before it got hot. John coming up a wash. A blooming palo verde tree and some smoke trees in the wash.

Gravel ghost, pin cushion and poppies. Lupine, unknown flowers and purple mat.  

We missed the turn onto our trail and ended up at the culvert under the highway. Of course we had to go through it. John on the trail with wild flowers at his feet.

 We hiked out  to Wylie's rest. It is a boat or hike in to campsite complete with bathroom, picnic table and beach. Honey mesquite blooms over the lake. 

Lupines and pincushions in front of the view. Blooming brittle bushes in front of some tropical looking water. I love the color of this lake.

Cholla blossoms. unknown flower and seed pods, brittle bush blooms. Cholla blooms, sand verbena. a seed head and oleanders blooming in camp. Forecast of 100 for today!!

Phacelia, poppies and palo verde blooms. Suncups, dodder, trumpet plant flowers and a cholla bloom.
