Aug 4-5 2010 Soap Lake, and Dry Falls State Park, Washington

Since we had a week to burn we went out to explore eastern Washington. It is pretty dry and flat west of Spokane. We decided to go to Soap Lake. the lake has medicinal water and they pipe it heated into the tubs in the bathrooms of the resort.

This guy in the lake told me that he put the mud in his hair and it got rid of the gray. I tried it, but it did not work. He told us about a great Russian deli in town too. I guess many Russians have immigrated here. The giant 60 foot tall lava lamp was given to the town by a Target store in New York, they even paid to have it shipped to Soap Lake. it is there in pieces and the town it trying to raise money to build a pedestal and reconstruct the lamp. They think it will bring tourists  to their town and revitalize it. So far they are still raising the money.
