We drove to Palo Alto to my sisters other house to spend Christmas with her family. A few road scenes of our 9 hour drive in the car to visit my sister in her Palo Alto house for the holidays. We left the bus in Shoshone.

Interesting sign at the Baker exit. ZZYZX road, A joshua tree and Tehachapi.
Rolling hills in the bay area. Huge oak trees. I love these.
John and Laurie my brother in law cooking dinner in the kitchen. Jill my niece walking in the rain. She did not look like she belonged with us, she looked nice and we were in raincoats and jeans.
We had to wait for a seat at lunch at Nordstrum, so we sat in a display for couch pillows. Judy and Jill. We went to the Cantor Art museum on the Stanford Campus. We were going to have lunch there too, but the cafe was closed for Christmas break.
I wanted to see the Rodin exhibit. Here is a bronze of his Gates to Hell which was made as the door for a Paris art museum. Also on of his more famous pieces The Thinker, which is also above the doors in the Gates. Another of his famous pieces the Kiss, it was also meant to go on the door, but he decided the people looked too happy. A carved Northwestern Indian piece for around a door and some cast glass fists.
Judy, John and Jill in front of the museum. John and Judy with the 3 Shades, they are on top of the Gates of Hell.
I decorated the Christmas tree. It is a living tree in a pot that my sisters family brings in each year to use, it is growing rather sporadically and makes a crooked tree, but it looks nice decorated. Sunset looked kind of like a net.
