High 70,sunny and extremely windy. Gusts up to 45 mph.
Blowing dust on dry lake Tecopa. I finished this basket. It is made from wire grass and dyed pine needles, polyester thread, glass beads and the enter is a piece of cobalt glass I fused and enameled early in my glass career. The white are supposed to be cats, but are a bit blurred. It is 10 x 2 inches.
A rather small sunset. Today the high was 67, mostly cloudy with very high winds. Gusts into the 60 mph range. There was so much blowing dust that we could hardly see the mountains across the valley.
Collen and Perry, friends of friends were in town tonight. We gave them information about Death Valley area and today they toured it. We talked to them briefly this evening and they gave us a nice bottle of wine for our efforts. Blowing dust in Tecopa tonight.
High wind and the sun breaking through.
James cooked us a yummy enchilada dinner. Here he is with Kit Kat. Smiling John. The sun on his face reminds me of the way they used to light up peoples eyes in the older movies.
Sunset. Sunset again, in Tecopa after soaking.
We ordered a pizza at the Kit Fox and while it was cooking we went next door to Death Valley Brewing and had a brew. Both the pizza and the beer were excellent.
