September 22-24 2024 Saratoga to Lander to Thermopolis, Wyoming

 High of 75 and sunny.

Fishermen in last light on Saratoga Lake. Sunset in the campground.

No clouds for sunset, but lots of color. We are now at Sleeping Bear RV park in Lander.

Good thing I looked before I stepped out, we had a guest on the top step. Very sweet kitty. We walked to the Eagle bronze foundry to view some of their work.

Leash your pets and uncontrolable humans. Grrr, bark, woof, good dog. Fall colors in the campground.

Sunset was lovely. Wind river canyon on our way to Thermopolis.

Views driving into Thermopolis.

At the RV Park, This park is is not a bank, don't let your pet leave a deposit.  I finished this basket. It is made from dyed pine needles, clay and glass beads, polyester thread and the center is a piece of selenite I shaped, polished, sandblasted and painted the petroglyphs on. It is 8 x 6.5 x 1.5 inches.

We are parked at the Fountain of Youth RV park. I love this park because it has  HIGE hot spring pools. No one was in them when we went to soak.

John floating around on an orange noodle in the hot spring. Pretty relaxing way to spend the day. It was 82 and sunny. In town is the WOW store, next door to the brewery we had dinner at.

Beautiful, historic, downtown Thermopolis. John and I at the brewery. I was taking a photo of the sign and a nice lady offered to take our photo.

One Eyed Buffalo Brewing company. Inside was a buffalo head with an eye patch. At the bar another nice lady offered to take our photo. Delicious dinner and beer.

Thermopolis has the worlds largest mineral hot spring, here in Hot Springs State Park. View heading back to the Fountain of Youth RV park.

Another nice view.  We had another nice soak after dinner too, under the stars.

September 21, 2024 Saratoga Lake, Wyoming

 Mid 70's and sunny.

The lake was smooth, so went for a paddle. John unloading my boat with the new hullavater rack, assists with 40 lbs of the weight.

Sand dunes atg the far end of the lake.

Lots of bird life. I came upon these mallards and they exploded, sea gull, flock of canada geese, and a grebe.

We went to town to the TK Gallery to see Trisha, a woman I met in Las Vegas at the glass expo, and her gallery. was fun to see her and her work. She even  bought some of my wrapped jewels to sell there. John waited a the Wolfe Hotel for me.

We headed up to the Snowy Range through the aspen belt. We hiked around Silver Lake as the weather clouded up and it got windy.

Silver Lake.

Lake Marie with a frozen paddle boarder. Some flowers still. Cinquefoil, bump on a tree, queens crown, yarrow, a fish a fisherman caught in the lake, fireweed, and an aster.

Some more aspen on French Creek Road. Historic Brush Creek Ranger station and visitors center.

Inside the Brush Creek visitors center is this display of animal tracks and scats. You can tell the grizzly bear poop by the bear bells! After our  soak in the free Hobo hot spring we had a pizza at the Snowy Mountain brewery. They were having Oktoberfest and the waitstaff dressed as Germans. This guy was hilarious.

Beautiful, historic, downtown Saratoga in the evening light after dinner and we soaked in the free Hobo hot springs. Sunset back at camp.

Sunset.

September 18-20, 2024 Dutch George, Colorado to Saratoga, Wyoming

 High of 75 and sunny,

This heavy duty Mann RV is at the campground. It says on the back The most dangerous world view is the worldview of those who have not viewed the world. And there are stickers from tons of countries. I wrapped a few more jewels.

John posing with the new BBQ he got for his birthday season from me. He cooked some great chicken tonight on it.  Last light reflected.

Reflected again. Sunset.

A magpie strutting by the bus. There were 4 that were hanging around. Golden aspen along the way.

Welcome to Wyoming. Here is something you don't see every day, a grocery store full of big game animals. Guess we are in Wyoming.

Beautiful, historic, downtown Saratoga. Saratoga Lake.

Saratoga Lake. I rode my bike half way around. Usually when we are here I like to kayak on the lake. But not when there are white caps.

We are camped at Saratoga lake campground. Nice 77 degree day, nice for dinner outside tonight.

Sunset.

Our new truck and tow vehicle. And toy box, with boats, bikes, hiking gear and my hula hoops.  The free Saratoga Hot Springs.

The waning gibbus moon with a mustache. We watched it rise over the lake.
