September 21, 2024 Saratoga Lake, Wyoming

 Mid 70's and sunny.

The lake was smooth, so went for a paddle. John unloading my boat with the new hullavater rack, assists with 40 lbs of the weight.

Lots of bird life. I came upon these mallards and they exploded, sea gull, flock of canada geese, and a grebe. 

We went to town to the TK Gallery to see Trisha, a woman I met in Las Vegas at the glass expo, and her gallery. was fun to see her and her work. She even  bought some of my wrapped jewels to sell there. John waited a the Wolfe Hotel for me. 

We headed up to the Snowy Range through the aspen belt. We hiked around Silver Lake as the weather clouded up and it got windy.

Lake Marie with a frozen paddle boarder. Some flowers still. Cinquefoil, bump on a tree, queens crown, yarrow, a fish a fisherman caught in the lake, fireweed, and an aster. 

Some more aspen on French Creek Road. Historic Brush Creek Ranger station and visitors center. 

Inside the Brush Creek visitors center is this display of animal tracks and scats. You can tell the grizzly bear poop by the bear bells! After our  soak in the free Hobo hot spring we had a pizza at the Snowy Mountain brewery. They were having Oktoberfest and the waitstaff dressed as Germans. This guy was hilarious.

September 18-20, 2024 Dutch George, Colorado to Saratoga, Wyoming

 High of 75 and sunny,

This heavy duty Mann RV is at the campground. It says on the back The most dangerous world view is the worldview of those who have not viewed the world. And there are stickers from tons of countries. I wrapped a few more jewels.

Welcome to Wyoming. Here is something you don't see every day, a grocery store full of big game animals. Guess we are in Wyoming. 

Beautiful, historic, downtown Saratoga. Saratoga Lake.

Saratoga Lake. I rode my bike half way around. Usually when we are here I like to kayak on the lake. But not when there are white caps. 

 We are camped at Saratoga lake campground. Nice 77 degree day, nice for dinner outside tonight.

September 16-17, 2024 Dutch George Campground, Colorado

 High of 78, mostly sunny. 

Woo hoo we are on the road again. But first one of the blinkers was malfunctioning between the bus and the new truck. The man who installed our towing package is checking the connections. There seems to be something weird with the bus connection, but it works fine with the old hook up plug, so that is what we are using.

The almost full moon rising over the horizon. Cloudy, windy and a tiny bit of rain today. John on the trail in the campground overlooking the Poudre River.

Moss campion, evening primrose, alfalfa, yellow asters, white asters, yarrow, split rock, and tiny green flowered hedge hog cactus. Fall colors, poison ivy and yellow leafed bushes. 

Purple aster, white aster, wild licorice seed., crested wheat grass, sandwort, golden rod, curly mountain mahogany seeds, seed head. Empty yucca seed, evening primrose seeds, white sweet clover, yellow leaves an red leaves.

The sun came out from under the clouds at the end of the day. The light was beautiful. The bus in our campsite.

John cooking dinner. He was going to BBQ steaks, but the BBQ did not work so he whipped out the partner stove and cooked them up. Some  dichroic glass pendants I wrapped.
