Had the most exciting day I have had on this odyssey so far today. One of our day/night window shades had a broken cord in it. I decided to fix it. . . John purchases a day/night shade first aid kit. I looked up directions on the internet.
John removing the window frame to get the curtain down. It was attached with some clamps, so John wisely removed the whole frame rather than just force the clamps and break them which is what some one unnamed may have done. The naked window. You probably can’t see it, but the thermometer above the window says it is now 80 degrees inside- at 10 am. The awning is out.
The back of the frame and window. The shades are seriously askew. It has 4 cords running thru it, the one on the right is broken. The shade with out the frame. With the directions that don’t match this type of stringing formation. You will notice that the window above is closed, the generator was on and the AC was running to keep the temperature of the curtain artisan down. Another thunder storm rolled thru doing the operations. The awnings are rolled back up. At least it cooled it down considerably.
6 hours later after much hair pulling, numerous cord arrangements and rearrangements , heated words leaving my lips and both of us trying to put it all back together, it is done and hung, AND repaired. I can see why they charge an arm and a leg to fix these. But next time I know how this type is put back together. Stupid and totally not logical, but it works. I even wrote down detailed instructions, drawings and measurements etc. The bus is 10 years old and we have 5 more curtains like this. . . As a reward to myself I sat in the lounge chair and finished the basket. It now needs to dry, I will glue on a piece of mica and then shellac it and it will be done. John cooked a lovely dinner.
This moth has firmly staked out site B-6 on the the campground map. even flexed his wings at me when I attempted to move him.
The moon rising over the parkway. No storms tonight. Alpen glow . Spoke too soon about the storms, about midnight
