Walnut Creek Park. I grew up in Walnut Creek, California till I moved to Wyo in for high school. An abandoned house in the woods.
This is where the black diamond part of the trail started. It got steeper, but most hikes in the Appalachians are steep up, then steep down, the mountains are very rugged and straight up. John on a bridge over the end of the lake. The edges of the lake had these thick , tiny, maybe 3 inch lily pads.
Black eyed Susan's, wild lobelia, right angle turns on this tree, you don’t usually see right angles in nature, a branch that doesn’t know what season it is, erigeron-these grow in Colorado, but they are pretty close to the ground, the ones here are 4 feet tall, and another odd shaped tree trunk.
Walnut Creek Lake, twice.
Hardware Baptist Church. John thinks there are so many Baptist churches in the area that they ran out of names for them. . .
