Rainy, windy and cold day. Only got up to 56 degrees.
I finally cracked the LCD on the back of the camera. I am pretty sure that makes it not waterproof anymore. It has been dropped so many times it does not focus as well as it used to anyway. I ordered a new camera, an Olympus. John took off on his bike this morning and came back with a bag of live shrimp. The guy who catches them sells them out of his house down the road. John spent the morning experimenting with trying to smoke the shrimp. He decided that they cook so fast they are not in the smoker long enough to make them worth it, and boiled the rest.
He did smoke some nice chicken breast for dinner. This is a photo of a photo of a scallop. The gulf is so shallow and has few waves or beaches here in the big bend of Florida, so there is lots of sea grass for these guys to live in. During the summer you can snorkel and catch them. The purple dots on their edges are eyes and if they see you they can swim by snapping their shells open and closed.
Sea hag marina in Steinhatchee down the road from Keaton Beach. The pink woman is actually on the beach right behind the bus here at Keaton Beach.
